And we have liftoff!

This is your captain speaking. Please fasten your seat-belts and keep all hands & arms inside the vehicle at all times. Houston,we have liftoff in 5....

Hey fabulous readers! Guess how many days until Josh and I get hitched? Yup five. So what have we been doing for our week? Well, we haven't been practicing our dance in forever, so when we decided to show my Aunt Dee, let's just say it went all wacky dacky.

Basically, this week has been compressed into a lot of running errands and putting some final touches on our big day. The planning is still running smoothly and we are completely calm and collected. I don't know why, but it still seems as though this is the smoothest running process of my entire life and probably Josh's too! The count has been set at a cool 65 attendees.

So that is 65 people we have to do a dance in front of and try not to get it wrong. Dancing has been a workout, especially for the two of us who just so happen to have two left feet. Who woulda thunk it right? My workout clothes are soaking up enough sweat to fill a swimming pool. Gross! The best thing about dancing together so far is laughing uncontrollably when we both just stop and stare because neither of us can remember the steps. We just end up doing "the robot" and free-styling.

That pretty much describes our whole wedding. It is just one big freestyle. I am trying not to plan out too much with our agenda because let's face it, life throws you curve balls. And who wants to go to a wedding where everything is scripted and "forced fun." We just want people to have a great time. We would love nothing more than for our families and friends to get together and mingle.  There is no seating arrangement or major "rules." Just have fun people. We are celebrating the commitment of two young adults. Why should anyone get upset and frantic?

Maybe we have learned from the weddings before ours. We have seen the TV shows and all of the craziness. I think we learned from take off that when you break it down, this is just another day. It is just a time where we join together and vow to be each other's partner for life. In sickness and health. Why waste brain space sweating the small stuff when we can enjoy ourselves and remember the night? It would be a waste of money just to have pictures of the good times. I want it permanently etched in my melon. I want to be able to lie down at the end of the night, think back on a funny conversation or dance and laugh. We can only practice so much before we drive ourselves insane. Heck! So what if this dance turns out all wacky dacky. As long as we create a moment where everyone can smile, that is all that matters.

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
