Here we are well in to the month of October and I am sad to say, the Navy is still a pretty good distance away. I have found myself reaching back to old habits and slipping away from self control. I am totally bummed about it too because not only have I failed at reaching a goal, but I completely broke down and started getting depressed.
My support system was there. What happened? Where did I lose control and spiral down? Wedding month. I was pushing so hard and doing so well. I stopped for one day and BAM! One month later Jillian Michaels is kicking my butt again. Level 1 of the 30 day Shred was a lot harder than I remember it being and I came out with the shakes.
This is the scenario in my head:
She is up to the plate. Warming up, she swings. Okay, all eyes are on her. This is the play of the century. If she misses this the season is over. The crowd is going NUTS! Her biggest fan is in the crowd. She swings. OH! So close and the UMP is yelling OUTTTTT!
I'm out of there. The bases were loaded. The pressure was intense. I took a moment to sit down and I went head first in to the black hole of junk food and carbs.
Nobody panic! I am getting back in the grove of things. I have my protein shakes, healthy food, and I am sweating up a storm over here. I also have the one supporter (my biggest) who means the most. The hubbs. I am reminding myself to love me for what effort I am putting in to my fitness and so is he. Of course, sometimes he doesn't count for needing encouragement because his momma and (maybe) sister raised his the right way to tell his woman she is pretty/gorgeous/awesome just the way she is. We all know that doesn't help when I want that nutella on a cracker. That is like saying, "Hey girrrrl! Eat now, THINK LATER! you're super fine."
Seriously though Jillian, why do you have to be such a pusher? I am sore and can't even enjoy sitting down to pee. Pain may be weakness leaving the body, but it sure as heck isn't nice to have for three days in a row. For someone who is so pushy, I do adore the fact that she will motivate you to the moon and back. When I am down crunching away on my abs with bicycle crunches, somehow she always fires that last bit of "oomph" in me. I WILL get that flat tummy soon.
Burn baby burn!
What are you needing encouragement with right now?
