"Happy Wedding Month" -Denise Nystrom.
Hello September! How are you?We woke up to that awesome text the other morning. Josh's mom sent a cute one over and it was the greatest!
I can not believe we have reached the month. Our month to Wed and be married. If I am in tune with my "earthly nature," we may also be approaching fall quickly too.
There seems to be a Fall sense in the air. Have you felt it? Maybe I am just finally getting in to the excitement that is soon to be coming. I am hoping for more chilly mornings. I think we are in the best mood around this season. Must be the air or something. Holidays were always my favorite anyways.
If you have been following Facebook you know by now that we have applied for and received the first copy of our marriage license! EEEEK! I can not describe how awesome that was. We were seriously like little school kids. On the way back to the parking garage at the courthouse, we were smiling and holding hands. You would have thought we secretly eloped or something. (We didn't, promise) Though it was only an extra $30 if we would have paid that day.
Josh was also able to pick out his ring finally! He is a proud owner of Titanium. We won't talk about the price, but let's just say that he better not loose that sucker or else he will have to wait another 20 years before the next one gets on that little finger of his!
Oh! and while we are on the topic of little fingers(size 81/2 to be exact), I think mine may be shrinking. I am not sure if that is due to the wieght-loss or if Fall really is approaching fast. I more or less want it to be from the weight because honey I am back in action! (With a partner in crime I might add) Josh and I have taken our first vow at a happy and fit relationship. We are starting up evening walks with each other again and going to the gym 3 nights out of the week. Have I mentioned yet that this man is the cutest?
In four months time I have lost a whopping 30 lbs (give or take. It depends on the day) and I am still going. I knew I just needed that little breather period. It feels great to be back on track! I am only 18-19 lbs away from my goal and I want to be another 8lbs lighter by the end of this month. Luck is appreciated, preferably the good. Spending time doing something healthy with someone you love is moving. I never thought about how true The Penny Pinchers Club could be. As the days tick on this happy couple just has bigger smiles on their slightly slimmer faces. Exercising just puts you in a good mood.
I am already starting to feel "the change" in my body. Hello, I have collar bones! It has been since the beginning of high school since I have seen those things. As much as I would love to shop for some new threads right now, we really don't have the money. And I really haven't mustered up enough confidence to see what size my pants are. As long as the dress fits, is what I keep telling myself.
The residents at work have been cheering us on like crazy too. They all want to attend the wedding or see pictures (A.S.A.P). One of my favorite couples approached me this past Sunday to tell me they are so thrilled that I am getting out of there while I am still young. The lady even sang me a song about "one pound at a time, get's a soldier in line. One pound at a time gets that body lookin' fine!" ha! They are a hoot.
It reminded me of a walk we went on the other night, Josh turned to me and said "Baby, I can not wait to see you in that dress. You are gonna be beautiful, not that you are not already beautiful, but right now you are just my beautiful girlfriend. Soon, you will be my beautiful wife." Seriously? Adorkable.
Twenty-seven more days until "I do/ I do too"
