The back story to this post is: When I was little I watched my father collect so many random things from the ground, I was disgusted. I never knew what they were for, nor did I really care. Many moons later I moved out of their house and he gave me a small tool kit and told me if nothing, always carry the screwdriver because "you never know" when one might come in handy.
So I'm "all grown up" and out in the big scary world with my fiance [josh]. Josh, mind you, has been to job corp and he has learned factual things from there and his dad and I am pretty sure almost all of the women in his family (He is the baby). So when we use to live in our previous apartment I would ask him to do some handyman work ex; nail something, paint something, move something, you get the point.
Now we live in an actual complex where there are handymen who will come do the work for us. I have asked my lovely fiance for days to call them so they can come look at a few things around the house. If the words chief duck doesn't ring a bell, sorry, but that is another story. Basically he didn't do it.
Back to square one. Woman ie; me, has taken it upon herself to fix these broken things in the house. I feel as though I am wearing some pants (if you catch my drift). Don't get me wrong, we love each other to pieces, and when I need to be defended from the bugs and spiders and such, I know I can depend on him. But what on god's creation would he do without me? And for that matter, what would any man do without woman?
I have taken the time to name a few suggestions, no need to thank me.
Woman:
- Makes sandwiches
- Does that birth giving thing
- Budgets the money (unless you are one of those "spend all the money!" types)
- Matches her bra with her underwear (which sometimes matches her shoes)
- Boobs.
- Carries useful things in her gigantic purse
- Has at least one important number to something you always need (somewhere)
- Can tell when you are lying, getting your period(guys, this means you too), you need a hug, and spot a bitch from a mile away.
So thank you daddy for always teaching me to pick up dirty items, clean them, possibly resell the ones I think will have value, and use what I need to fix what I can.
Thank you fiance [Josh] for defending me from bugs, kissing me when I need it the most, being my thunder buddy, listening to me whine about the bills that "I pay all by myself," which is not true (you help), and most of all thanks for loving me.
