Not everyone will be your cup of tea.

Everyone is sick of hearing about Caitlyn Jenner by now but I can not get enough of her.
I watched the Bruce Jenner interview in shock and tears. I had many emotions rushing through me all at once and cried with the sad parts and laughed with the happy parts.

But right now, all I am feeling is complete and utter disbelief. I can not believe that our generation is so hateful towards a transgender person. Can we all just fucking get along for once and accept that people are different and weird and strange. Everyone has their quirks. Not everyone is going to be your cup of tea.

Caitlyn Jenner may definitely not be your cup of tea, but there is no reason to bash her and hate on her because of the fact that she is famous now as Caitlyn and was famous as Bruce. I am just absolutely disgusted by some of the people I called my friends. People are posting memes about the ESPY award and saying that she should give it away because some other bloke is way more courageous and brave. Well excuse the hell out of me, but when did being courageous and brave become such a damn competition? Why are all of those people any more special?

We get it, men and women in the Armed Forces lay their asses on the line for us peons every single day. Thank you!
People with cancer are living their life and giving hope to the youth after them.
Some double amputee is proving that they are able to never give up and give in and actually win a race or something in their life and in turn give hope to the ones who are in their shoes.

Caitlyn is doing the same thing but for a much smaller community. A community that is actually quite big but "in the closet" if you will. They are a community that lives in fear of being rejected by society every single day. They are fearing the exact people on my newsfeed that have shown me they have learned nothing about acceptance and loving. Instead, people are publicly shaming a person who is just trying to live their life the way they feel they have always wanted to be. Caitlyn feels like she is a woman. She has felt like a woman for almost her whole life and yet was in fear of saying something because she knew exactly how it would turn out. The exact way it is now.

Other transgenders are struggling with the very same issue and all we are doing is showing them how mean and cruel we are really going to be. We are going to tell them to quit playing dress up and stop trying to make a show out of their lives. We are going to call them disgusting and tell them all they need is a little therapy. Since when do we get to determine how someone else should live out their life? Do I tell you not to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when you want one? Do I tell you not to wear that shirt you just bought at the mall? Do I tell you not to go for a drive to clear your head? Or not to be with a girl or boy just because? NO! So why do you get to tell someone that they can not live their life the way they want to be able to? Why do you get to make the decisions regarding how they dress or think or act?

Our children follow by example. We are only teaching our children to hate and not accept anyone who is not of social norm.
Take the blind folds off people and open up your beautiful damn eyes! This world has housed many of LGBT members for many of years. Just because they have remained quiet about the issue, doesn't mean that it has to continue.
Slavery, women's rights? HELLO? Am I speaking to a fucking wall here? Why can those things be changed but we turn our noses up to a community who is slightly different from us?

I can not sit back and quietly watch my so called peers bash this person and a community which only wants to be accepted. If you have and issue with the LGBT community and the people in it then delete me from your life forever. You individuals are nothing less than inconsiderate and that kind of negativity does not need to continue in this day and age.

Grow up and open your eyes for once will you? People are different and that's okay.
