Baby Baking: Week 15

WEEK 15

Well guys, we have made it to a new week with baby baking. The only thing that has really changed from week 13 to now is that my bump is disappearing. Is that even possible?

I guess a picture is worth a thousand words so see for yourself. I wish I had a super cool camera on a tri-pod to be able to take a better picture but this is what I am working with here. Bear with me.

How big is Nugget: Nugget is about the size of an orange this week.
What's in Nuggets book:
I haven't written in Nugget's book in a bit so I need to get back to that. But I will be sure to add that dad is obsessed with my belly and loves laying on me. He will whisper to Nugget and say things like "Don't tell mom, but..."  or "Hey Nugget or Nuggette, it's dad just dropping by to say hi..."

Craving:
Donuts. We went to the store to buy some but unfortunately, I only had 3 out of the two boxes we bought. The sugar ants were apparently more hungry than me.
Steak
shrimp
pasta
Caesar salad.

Maternity Clothes: Even though I think my bump is disappearing, I am in love with all of my maternity clothes so I am trying to wear them full time now. They are definitely super comfortable and I don't feel like a lazy bum sitting around the house dressed instead of being in my PJs.

Gender Bets:
I have officially(maybe) decided that I think baby is a girl. I know the gender is determined through the male, but the girls are outweighing the boys in my family. That has to count for something right?
Precious Moments:
  • Josh cuddling with Nugget
  • Nugget got to listen to his/her first Bruins game. I put my phone on my belly with the app playing. So. Much. Movement. It made me smile.
  • My cat snuggled on top of my belly one night and just stared at it and
  •  purred.
  • Co-workers rubbing my stomach and talking to Nugget (and so it begins..)
  • We had scary news about Josh's job cutting his hours. He leaned down as soon as we got home and whispered "Don't you worry, I will take care of you and mom no matter what."
Oh yeah, there has been a lot of talking to Nugget or belly rubbing. It has officially started. We are hoping to be able to find out the gender soon. We are still unsure about the reveal process but it will be cool no matter what.

My mom is still super excited and asks me almost every day when we are able to find out so she can start buying things. She is itching to get the baby room in order. We are going to be setting up the crib soon since we already have one. I am really happy that I get to use MY baby blanket in the room no matter what the gender is. I can't believe it is in great shape after twenty plus years.

Keep leaving your bets in the comments and stay tuned for that post co-written by Josh!

  2. You should do the reveal with a dozen balloons. Do 11 gold or silver and one either pink or blue. Make sure they are helium. Put them all in a trash bag and then open them in front of everyone. When the color comes out everyone knows. It is an exciting and different way to do it.
