Mid-April Happenings

It has already been leaked on Facebook, but we are too excited to hold back any longer. We are getting ourselves a house! It may be only to rent, but it is a 2br/1ba house that is all ours until we decide to leave. No more moving every year once the lease is up on an apartment. Nope! We get to stay in this house for as long as we choose (with no rent increase I might add) and raise our little nugget until the place becomes too unbearably small.

So what's with all the excitement? We have wanted an actual house for a long time now. Apartment living is NOT for us. The neighbors are loud and the walls are way too thin. For Pete sakes I heard things that should not be heard at 5 in the morning when we are trying to sleep! After the fiasco with Hunters Creek Apartments, we KNEW that if we didn't get out of the "nosy neighbor" lifestyle, we were going to be miserable.

Hmm, let's see, first time miserable parents? Yeah, that would have been a joy! (Sarcasm)

Any who, without further adieu, here is a picture of our cute little cottage.

We just put down the deposit and the lease will be signed as soon as we get back from Tallahassee. We just switched over our electric and as soon as that lease is signed we can get this water business taken care of. Now all we have to do is finish packing our already boxed up apartment. I think we have been living out of boxes with no place to go for two weeks now. It is a major relief to know that we have a home now and we won't be living in our car. (For the record, I am well aware that neither grandparent of nugget would allow that to happen)

 

I really hate the moving process but I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in a different place. The ONLY thing I will miss about apartment living is being able to use the gym whenever I wanted to.

Starting today we are taking sign-ups for who would like to help us move. Pizza and beer on us!

We move May 10th-12th so help us out! =)
