Josh and I are overjoyed to announce we are expecting. What are we expecting? Well, could be a velociraptor, bruin, kangaroo...I think we are expecting a baby. (Shh! don't tell Josh though, he still thinks velociraptor.)

We have had long discussion after discussion. He wanted to try soon after marriage and I wanted to wait. So we met in the middle with an agreement to unofficially try to conceive. We would only try for about six months and then if it wasn't meant to be, then we would continue our regularly scheduled program. While we weren't preventing, we also weren't going nuts and figuring out the ovulation schedule and laying in weird positions after the deed was done. Things need to happen naturally people.

Only a month later and BAM! Blessed with a little chicken nugget and couldn't be happier. I was the most nervous telling my parents. I didn't want anyone to be judgmental. We have only been married 6months. That is too soon right?! Or it could be that you are never really prepared to care for another life and you will never really be financially stable (unless you are Kim Kardashian or every other celebrity out there). Sometimes you just need to have a little confidence in yourself. Remind yourself that life gets messy and the strong get through it.

Raising a chicken nugget is gonna be a challenge. I FULLY intend to go back to work after delivery. I also fully intend to get a semi better paying job than the one I currently work at (Josh included). We are gonna bust our butts and hope for the best! Every shortcut that can be made will be made (within reason and health of nugget). I would like to try to keep pinching my pennies and hand-me-downs will NEVER be turned away. Cloth diapers for Jr? yep. Breastfeed? Of course!

There is still much homework to be done. If nugget really is a stinky boy, then we have to think over the debated circumcision topic. If nugget is a girl, we have to capture all stinky boys (because they have cooties) and put them on an island far away from the damsel in distress. Okay, now I'm just being silly.

Seriously though, overjoyed and can't wait for the milestones to start.
