Monday Madness

In this chaotic world we live in, there are problems bound to arise. We started a post last week that we are hopefully going to continue about how much Monday's suck. They just do. But whatever situation we are faced with on a Monday, we know that God wouldn't allow us a situation in which He knew we couldn't handle or figure out for ourselves.

We woke up to sunshine and coffee this Monday. I don't know if there is any better way to wake up. The thing that made me smile most was knowing that we had absolutely nothing planned and we had the whole day to just relax and veg out. So we turned on the t.v and there happened to be a cool story on the Jeff Probst Show.

Usually the t.v in our house is used as background noise, but today there was a story that caught our attention. Two young individuals were on there telling their story about spreading love through the world one small step at a time. No matter what God threw at them, they muscled through it and they are putting forth effort to make someone else feel amazing about their life. Long story short: these two people are giving back to their community. It is a small yet hugely gratifying task that has been spreading like wildfire due in part to Oprah and a few other big names.

We sat in awe. Simply inspired by a young lady by the name of Hannah Brencher who uses the power of hand written love notes. She writes them with a team of about 15 other people now, but started this all on her own free will. After a letter is written, she drops it off in random places for a random person to find and open. More times then not, these letters reach someone who is in great need of a little encouragement in their life. She let's them simply know that they are loved and needed in this chaotic world and they SHOULD keep pushing. Every life is here for a reason. Check out her website here.

Monday Madness is still going to continue but we thought, how cool would it be to just vent our problems and solve them. Seems pretty redundant. I am sure we could just do that in our heads and not waste your time. But what if you are having a similar day. What if someone out there is reading this right now and in need of a little encouragement?

Well baby, the sucky things that have happened to you are okay.
  • Your boss sucks, heck, my boss sucks
  • Waking up early to do the same thing over and over
  • Realizing an important bill was due
  • Receiving your EVAC bill because you got wasted
  • Hating where you live
  • Traffic (seriously, why does Monday traffic suck?)
  • Rude cashiers
  • Superbowl ads
  • Facebook idiots
Take some time to write down all of the things that have made you hate today. DO IT NOW. Look at your list and then look back at these words...
You are okay. Living is cool and those sucky moments are going to pass. You are awesome for even living and giving an ounce of your time to your community today.

One of our absolutely favorite websites The Chive does a thing called Random Acts of Kindness. It is the bees knees. The chive community is HUGE! Every week Chivers submit their photos of their random acts of kindness to fellow Chivers or just anyone in general. Get involved!

Sometimes when you are having a "Monday" all you really need is to make someone else smile.

What made you smile on this Monday?
Want to write a letter to us? Email: Sbocharski13@gmail.com, send us your address and we will write you a random letter and send it to you.
PLEASE share your thoughts. Help make this blog something you super want to read on a sucky monday =)
